Inclusive, mindful, and practical tools to help you create a yoga practice that fits your life, supports your mental well-being, and invites you to create your flow state.

Meet Stephanie
Founder of Create the Flow State
I’m Stephanie Sawyer Brown — yoga teacher (RYT 500+), sound healer, holistic practitioner, meditation teacher and writer — and I believe yoga is for every body.
My own yoga journey started with a search for pain relief after a back injury, but it became so much more: a path back to myself. In 2017, I packed my bags and traveled to Rishikesh, India — the birthplace of yoga — to study with a 7th-generation yogi. I immersed myself in hatha and ashtanga yoga, meditation, and ayurveda, soaking up ancient teachings that still shape the way I navigate my life and my relationships.
Since then, I’ve been committed to deepening this practice and sharing it with others. In 2022, I earned a second 200-hour certification in trauma-informed vinyasa yoga, blending mindfulness and nervous-system support into every sequence. By 2025, I had completed an additional 300-hour certification. I also became a certified sound healer and vibrational therapist, using the power of the chakra system and sound with vibration to guide students into deeper states of rest and release, and ultimately healing.
Today, I’ve completed my 500-hour certification and training as a Certified Holistic Practitioner, integrating breathwork, energy medicine, and mental well-being into my offerings. My mission is to make yoga and healing practices accessible, body-inclusive, and practical — so they fit into real life, not just a perfect Instagram square.
Create the Flow State is my invitation to you: to breathe more deeply, move more intentionally, and carry the wisdom of yoga into your everyday life.
