Stephanie Sawyer Brown's journey into the world of yoga began with a deep desire to explore the mind-body connection and find pain relief from a back injury.
In 2017, she traveled to Rishikesh, India, to study with a 7th-generation yogi, immersing herself in the traditional practices of hatha and ashtanga yoga, meditation, and ayurveda. This transformative experience shaped her approach to teaching, combining ancient wisdom with practical tools for modern life.
Stephanie’s commitment to deepening her practice continued in 2022 when she earned a second 200-hour certification in a trauma-informed vinyasa program at Seviin Yoga in Atlanta, Georgia. Her unique perspective on yoga is informed by her background as a certified sound healer and vibrational therapist, allowing her to create holistic experiences for her students.
As the creator of Create the Flow State: A Guide to Practicing Yoga at Home and Off the Mat, Stephanie inspires students to integrate all eight limbs of yoga into their everyday lives, encouraging mindfulness and self-compassion. Her classes are designed to be body-inclusive, welcoming practitioners of all abilities to discover their own flow.
Whether guiding students through asanas, meditation, or sound healing, Stephanie brings a sense of balance, warmth, and wisdom to her teachings. She believes that yoga is more than just a practice—it’s a path to greater self-awareness, healing, and connection.
